Imprinted Concrete Sealing

Imprinted concrete with its enormous selection in pattern and colouration is an enduring surface that requires limited, but essential maintenance every few years. To keep the depth of colour and protect the surface from any oil stains along with general accumulations of dirt etc, top up coats of sealer should be applied every few years.

Whilst the surface has a lifespan into the decade’s, vehicle and foot traffic will over time physically wear away the protective sealer and you will start to see bare concrete or “white” patches start to appear where the sealer is being slowly eroded.

If the drive hasn’t been pressure washed for a good while then the build-up of traffic film and airborne dirt can also degrade the surface and generally detract from a surface that should have a superb depth of colour to one that has a lack lustre finish.

Pavesmart can pre-treat any remnants of oil that has leaked and then stained the surface using a bio-degradable oil remover. We will treat and then cover the oil leak for a few days, depending on the severity of the stain, prior to conducting a full pressure wash of the entire imprinted concrete surface.

If you have any areas that require a repair carried out we can fill settlement cracks with a colour matched compound along with repairing any broken cappings that are broken away leaving raw concrete on show.

For areas that are exhibiting bare white patches and are “flaking” we will apply a special repair fluid combined with a specific colour to re-introduce the lost colour before applying further coats of a premium quality acrylic sealant and colour to the surface.

After a site tidy up you will be left with a fully refurbished surface that is totally transformed in appearance and protected against the elements for up to 5 years.
